The new BYD ATTO 2 DM-i Super Hybrid combines the benefits of electric driving with the flexibility of a petrol engine, giving Kiwi drivers another smart option for everyday driving, longer journeys and everything in between.
Available in DM-i Essential and DM-i Premium, the new ATTO 2 DM-i starts from $34,990* for the Essential and $42,990* for the Premium.
Electric when you can. Petrol when you need it.
At the heart of the ATTO 2 DM-i is BYD’s proven Blade Battery and DM-i plug-in hybrid technology. Both variants feature a 1.5-litre high-efficiency petrol engine and front electric motor, delivering 145kW of maximum motor power and 300Nm of torque.
The DM-i Essential offers up to 40km of WLTP electric range, while the DM-i Premium increases that to 90km. Combined WLTP driving range is up to 930km and 1,000km respectively, helping make longer trips simple without relying solely on public charging infrastructure.
Both models also feature V2L, allowing the vehicle to supply power to compatible electrical equipment when you’re away from home.

The ATTO 2 DM-i Essential comes equipped with features including a 360° camera, adaptive cruise control, intelligent cruise control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 10.1-inch rotating touchscreen and BYD Blade Battery technology.
Step up to the Premium, and you’ll get a panoramic glass roof, roof rack, 17-inch alloy wheels, power-adjustable heated front seats, imitation leather upholstery, a larger 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen and a six-speaker audio system.
With five seats and up to 1,335 litres of maximum boot capacity, the ATTO 2 DM-i is designed to be practical enough for everyday life while bringing the efficiency and technology of BYD’s Super Hybrid system.
